PROCEDURE
INSTALL HORN BUTTON ASSEMBLY
Check that the ignition switch is off.
Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.
CAUTION:
Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
Note
The power window system utilizes a mechanism that the door glass moves down slightly when the door is opened, and that the glass moves up when closing the door in order to prevent the door molding from being damaged. When the battery negative (-) terminal needs to be disconnected for servicing, fully open the driver and passenger door glasses in advance.
for Dual Airbag System

Connect the 2 airbag connectors to the horn button assembly.
Note
When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
Be sure to only connect the connectors to each corresponding color.
Push in the 2 locks to install the 2 airbag connectors.
Note
Make sure that the horn button assembly is securely installed.
Connect the horn connector to the horn button assembly.
for Single Airbag System

Connect the airbag connector to the horn button assembly.
Note
When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
Push in the lock to install the airbag connector.
Note
Make sure that the horn button assembly is securely installed.
Connect the horn connector to the horn button assembly.
Push the horn button assembly to engage the 3 pins carefully.
Note
Make sure that the pins are securely inserted into the steering holes.
Make sure that the horn button assembly is securely installed.
Install the No. 1 and No. 2 lower steering wheel covers.
CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
INSPECT HORN BUTTON ASSEMBLY
Make sure that the horn sounds.
