Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.

    5. Check that the lights operate.

      OK
      Map light fades in.
      Main Body

      Illuminated Entry System Map light assembly ON/OFF -

    OK

    PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Click here

  2. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the map light assembly Click here.

    2. Inspect the map light assembly Click here.

      OK
      Map light assembly is normal.

    NG

    REPLACE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY Click here

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY - MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the K3 map light assembly connector.

      Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K3-2 (+B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU (NETWORK GATEWAY ECU))


    1. Disconnect the K3 map light assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the D5 main body ECU (network gateway ECU) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K3-3 (DOOR SW) - D5-7 (DOMR) Always Below 1 Ω
      D5-7 (DOMR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    OK
