WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM(w/o Entry and Start System) No Answer-Back

DESCRIPTION

In some cases, wireless door lock control functions are normal but the hazard warning light and/or wireless door lock buzzer answer-back function(s) does not operate. In such cases, hazard warning light and wireless door lock buzzer signal outputs from the main body ECU (network gateway ECU) may be malfunctioning.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (ANSWER-BACK OPERATION)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Utility / Customize / Wireless Door Lock.

    5. Select the setting by referring to the table below.

      Display Default Content Setting Relevant ECU
      Hazard Answer Back ON

      When the doors are locked by wireless operation, the hazard warning lights flash once.

      When the doors are unlocked by wireless operation, the hazard warning lights flash twice.

    1. Check the wireless door lock control function using the door control transmitter module set sub-assembly.

  3. CHECK WIRELESS ANSWER-BACK OPERATION


    1. Check the wireless answer-back operation using the door control transmitter module set sub-assembly.

  4. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.

    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER - MAIN BODY ECU)


    1. Disconnect the A63 wireless door lock buzzer connector.

    2. Disconnect the A73 main body ECU (network gateway ECU) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A63-1 (+) - A73-1 (BZR) Always Below 1 Ω
      A63-2 (-) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      A63-1 (+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  6. REPLACE WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER

  9. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly Click here.

    2. Remove the main body ECU (network gateway ECU) from the instrument panel junction block assembly.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
