Tech Tips
Use the same procedure for RH and LH sides.
The procedure listed below is for LH side.
PROCEDURE
REMOVE REAR WHEEL
DRAIN BRAKE FLUID
Note
Immediately wash off any brake fluid that comes into contact with any painted surfaces.
REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE PAD KIT
Remove the 2 slide pin clips.
Using a 3 mm pin punch and a hammer, remove the 2 rear No. 1 disc brake rear cylinder slide pins and rear No. 1 disc brake pad support plate.

Remove the rear disc brake pad while pressing on the piston using a wrench.
DISCONNECT REAR FLEXIBLE HOSE LH
Remove the union bolt and 2 gaskets and disconnect the rear left flexible hose from the rear disc brake cylinder assembly LH.
REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY LH
Remove the 2 bolts and rear disc brake cylinder assembly LH.
REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE ADJUSTING HOLE PLUG
Remove the parking brake shoe adjusting hole plug from the rear disc.
REMOVE REAR DISC

Place matchmarks on the rear disc and rear axle hub.
Tech Tips
It is not necessary when replacing the rear disc.

Release the parking brake and remove the rear disc.
Tech Tips
If it is difficult to remove the rear disc, insert a screwdriver through the hole of rear disc and turn the adjusting screw to contract it.
