PROCEDURE
REMOVE CYLINDER BOOT

Remove the 2 cylinder boots.
Note
To prevent damage to the front disc brake piston, remove the boot by hand, and not using a screwdriver or the like.
REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE PISTON

Place a wooden block between the front disc brake piston and disc cylinder.
Slowly apply compressed air to remove the 2 front disc brake pistons from the cylinder.
CAUTION:
Do not place your fingers in front of the front disc brake piston when applying compressed air.
Note
Do not spatter the brake fluid.
Tech Tips
If the front disc brake piston has been damaged, replace it with a new one.
Remove the wooden block.
REMOVE PISTON SEAL

Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, remove the 2 piston seals from the disc brake cylinder.
Note
Do not damage the inner surface or piston seal groove of the cylinder.
REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE BLEEDER PLUG CAP
Remove the front disc brake bleeder plug cap from the front disc brake bleeder plug.
REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE BLEEDER PLUG
Remove the front disc brake bleeder plug.
