BRAKE BOOSTER(for RHD) REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

Make sure to release vacuum from the brake booster assembly before removing the brake master cylinder sub-assembly from the brake booster assembly.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH (w/o Knee Airbag)

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Knee Airbag)

  3. REMOVE LOWER NO.1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIR BAG ASSEMBLY (w/ Knee Airbag)

  4. REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE TCM (for Automatic Transmission)

  6. REMOVE PUSH ROD PIN

      Remove the clip and the push rod pin from the push rod clevis.

  7. REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY


    1. Disengage each clamp as shown in the illustration.

    2. Displace the clamp and disconnect the brake booster assembly vacuum hose.

      Remove the 4 nuts and brake booster assembly from the vehicle body.

      Note

      Do not kink or damage the brake lines.

  8. REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS


    1. Remove the brake master cylinder push rod clevis and lock nut.
