REAR BRAKE(for Floating Type Caliper) REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. TEMPORARILY INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE BLEEDER PLUG


    1. Temporarily install the rear disc brake bleeder plug to the rear disc brake cylinder LH.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }
  2. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE BLEEDER PLUG CAP


    1. Install the rear disc brake bleeder plug cap to the rear disc brake bleeder plug.

  3. INSTALL PISTON SEAL


    1. A004ISZ

      Apply a light layer of lithium soap base glycol grease to the entire circumference of a new piston seal and install it into the groove of the disc brake cylinder.

  4. INSTALL CYLINDER BOOT

      *2 Cylinder Boot
      A004HD0 Lithium soap base glycol grease

      Apply a light layer of lithium soap base glycol grease to a new cylinder boot, and put it on the disc brake piston as shown in the illustration.

  5. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE PISTON

      *2 Rear disc Brake Piston
      *3 Rear disc Brake Cylinder Assembly LH

      Fit the seal section of the cylinder boot into the groove of the rear disc brake cylinder assembly LH.

      Note

      Securely fit the seal section of the cylinder boot.

    2. Push in the piston by hand and fit the seal section of the boot into the groove of the rear disc brake piston.

      Note

      Securely fit the seal section of the cylinder boot.
