Tech Tips
Use the same procedure for RH and LH sides.
The procedure listed below is for LH side.
PROCEDURE
REMOVE REAR WHEEL
DRAIN BRAKE FLUID
Note
Immediately wash off any brake fluid that comes into contact with any painted surfaces.
DISCONNECT REAR FLEXIBLE HOSE LH

Remove the union bolt and 2 gaskets and disconnect the rear left flexible hose from the rear disc brake cylinder assembly LH.
REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY LH
Remove the 2 bolts and rear disc brake cylinder LH.
REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE PAD KIT

Remove the rear disc brake pad kit from the caliper support bracket.
REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE ANTI SQUEAL SHIM KIT

| *1 | Rear Disc Brake Pad |
| *2 | Rear Disc Brake Anti Squeal Shim Kit |
Remove the rear disc brake anti squeal shim kit from each rear disc brake pad.
REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE PAD SUPPORT PLATE
Remove the 2 rear disc brake pad support plates.
REMOVE CALIPER SUPPORT BRACKET
Remove the 2 bolts and caliper support bracket.
REMOVE REAR DISC

Place matchmarks on the rear disc and rear axle hub.
Tech Tips
It is not necessary when replacing the rear disc.

Release the parking brake and remove the rear disc.
Tech Tips
If it is difficult to remove the rear disc, insert a screwdriver through the hole of rear disc and turn the adjusting screw to contract it.
REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE ADJUSTING HOLE PLUG
Remove the parking brake shoe adjusting hole plug from the rear from the rear disc.
REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER SLIDE PIN
Remove the rear disc brake cylinder slide pin from the caliper support bracket.
REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE REAR CYLINDER SLIDE PIN
Remove the rear disc brake rear cylinder slide pin from the caliper support bracket.
Remove the bush from the rear disc brake rear cylinder slide pin.
REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER SLIDE BUSH
Remove the 2 rear disc brake cylinder slide bushes from the caliper support bracket.
