FRONT BRAKE FLEXIBLE HOSE INSTALLATION

  • Use the same procedure for RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL NO. 1 FRONT FLEXIBLE HOSE


    1. Temporarily install the NO. 1 front flexible hose with a new clip.

      Note

      Securely install the clip.

    2. Hold the NO. 1 front flexible hose with a wrench using a union nut wrench.

      Torque:
      15 N*m  { 155 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf }

      Note


      • Do not bend or damage the brake tube.

      • Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt and dust to enter the brake tube from the connecting point.

      • Use the formula to calculate special torque values for situations where a union nut wrench is combined with a torque wrench Click here.

    3. Connect the No. 1 front flexible hose to the front shock absorber assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:
      33 N*m  { 337 kgf*cm, 24 ft.*lbf }
    4. Install the No. 1 flexible hose to the disc brake cylinder assembly with 2 new gaskets and the new union bolt.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }
  2. ADD BRAKE FLUID

  3. BLEED BRAKE LINE

  4. INSPECT BRAKE FLUID LEAK

  5. INSPECT FLUID LEVEL

  6. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL

    Torque:
    120 N*m  { 1224 kgf*cm, 89 ft.*lbf }
