PROCEDURE
REMOVE CYLINDER BOOT

Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, remove the 4 cylinder boots.
Note
Do not damage the inner surface or piston seal groove of the cylinder.
REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE PISTON

| *a | 30 mm (1.811 in.) |
Place a wooden block between the front disc brake pistons.
Slowly apply compressed air to remove the 4 front disc brake pistons from the front disc brake cylinder assembly.
CAUTION:
Do not place your fingers in front of the front disc brake pistons when applying compressed air.
Note
Do not spatter the brake fluid.
Tech Tips
If a front disc brake piston has been damaged, replace the front disc brake cylinder assembly with a new one.
Remove the wooden block.
REMOVE PISTON SEAL

Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, remove the 4 piston seals from the front disc brake cylinder.
Note
Do not damage the inner surface or piston seal groove of the cylinder.
REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE BLEEDER PLUG CAP
Remove the 2 front disc brake bleeder plug caps from the front disc brake bleeder plugs.
REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE BLEEDER PLUG
Remove the 2 front disc brake bleeder plugs.
