Tech Tips
Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
The procedure listed below is for the LH side.
PROCEDURE
REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
DRAIN BRAKE FLUID
Note
Immediately wash off any brake fluid that comes into contact with any painted surfaces.
REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE PAD

Remove the 2 pin hold clips.
Using a 3 mm pin punch and a hammer, remove the 2 front disc brake cylinder slide pins and No. 1 front disc brake pad support plate.
Remove the 2 front disc brake pads from the front disc brake cylinder assembly.

| *c | No. 2 Anti-squeal Sim |
Remove the 2 No. 1 anti-squeal sim and the 2 No. 2 anti-squeal sim from each pad.
DISCONNECT FRONT NO. 1 FLEXIBLE HOSE
Remove the union bolt, 2 gaskets and disconnect the front No. 1 flexible hose from the front disc brake cylinder assembly.
REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY
Remove the 2 bolts, front disc brake cylinder mounting and front disc brake cylinder assembly.
REMOVE FRONT DISC

Place matchmarks on the front disc and front axle hub.
Tech Tips
It is not necessary when replacing the disc.
Remove the front disc.
