CLUTCH PEDAL(for RHD) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL PAD


    1. Install the clutch pedal pad to the clutch pedal sub-assembly.

  2. INSTALL NO. 2 CLUTCH PEDAL CUSHION


    1. Install the No. 2 clutch pedal cushion to the clutch pedal sub-assembly.

  3. INSTALL NO. 1 CLUTCH PEDAL CUSHION


    1. Install the 2 No. 1 clutch pedal cushions to the clutch pedal sub-assembly.

  4. INSTALL BUSH


    1. Install the 3 bushes to the clutch pedal support sub-assembly and the clutch pedal sub-assembly.

  5. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL SHAFT COLLAR

      Apply MP grease to the 2 clutch pedal bushes.

    2. Install the 2 clutch pedal bushes and the clutch pedal shaft collar to the clutch pedal sub-assembly.

  6. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the clutch pedal sub-assembly to the clutch pedal support sub-assembly with the bolt and the nut.

      Torque:
      30 N*m  { 306 kgf*cm, 22 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Turn the nut while holding the bolt.

      Tech Tips

      Install the bolt from the left side of the vehicle.

  7. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL SPRING

      Apply MP grease to assist rod A, assist rod B and clutch pedal spring.

    2. Install the assist rod A, assist rod B, clutch pedal spring and assist bush to the clutch pedal sub-assembly and the clutch pedal support sub-assembly.

    3. A004J4T

      Apply MP grease to 2 clevis pins.

    4. Install the 2 E-ring and the 2 clevis pins.

  8. INSTALL CLUTCH SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the clutch switch assembly to the clutch pedal support sub-assembly with the nut.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

  9. INSTALL CLUTCH START SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the clutch start switch assembly to the clutch pedal support sub-assembly with the nut.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

    2. Connect the clamp.

  10. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the clutch pedal support sub-assembly to the vehicle with the bolt.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

    2. Apply MP grease to the new clevis pin.

    3. Install the clutch master cylinder push rod clevis to the clutch pedal sub-assembly with the clevis pin and a clip.

      Tech Tips

      Install the clevis pin from the right side of the vehicle.

    4. Connect the 2 connectors.

  11. INSPECT AND ADJUST CLUTCH PEDAL

  12. INSPECT CLUTCH SWITCH ASSEMBLY

      *a No Clearance

      Without depressing the clutch pedal, check that there is no clearance between the switch shaft and the clutch pedal stopper.

  13. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (w/ Knee Airbag)

  14. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
