PURGE VALVE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT PURGE VALVE


    1. A004J6GE02

      Measure the resistance according to the value in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 2 20°C (68°F) 21 to 27 Ω

      *2 Port F
      *3 Clean Hose
      A004I9S Air

      Check the operation of the purge valve.


      1. Install a clean hose to the purge valve.

      2. Check that air does not flow from port E to port F.

      3. Check that air flows from port E to port F.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition
        Battery does not connect Air does not flow from port E to port F

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2

        		 Air flows from port E to port F

        If the result is not as specified, replace the purge valve.

      4. Remove the clean hose from the purge valve.
