ECM REMOVAL

Note

If the ECM or ECM bracket needs to be removed, replace the ECM bracket with a new one.

PROCEDURE


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH (w/ Airbag Cut Off Switch)

  3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH (w/o Airbag Cut Off Switch)

    Click here

  4. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE CONTROL UNIT RELAY ASSEMBLY (w/o Entry and Start System)

    Click here

  6. REMOVE ECM


    1. Disconnect the 4 connectors from the ECM.

    2. A004IZT

      Remove the 2 nuts and the ECM.

      Note

      If a component has been dropped or subjected to a strong impact, replace it.

  7. REMOVE ECM BRACKET


    1. A004IGG

      Disengage the 2 claws, and remove the ECM bracket.
