OIL PUMP INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT STATOR SHAFT ASSEMBLY


    1. A004IMC

      Using a caliper gauge, measure the inside diameter of the stator shaft bushing.

      Standard inside diameter
      21.527 mm (0.8475 in.)

      If the inside diameter is more than the standard inside diameter, replace the stator shaft assembly.

  2. INSPECT OIL PUMP DRIVE GEAR ROTATION


    1. A004HO6

      Make sure that the drive gear rotates smoothly.

    2. Remove the oil pump assembly from the torque converter assembly.
