ROCKER PANEL MOULDING DISASSEMBLY

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. REMOVE BODY SIDE NAME PLATE

    • Use the same procedure for both body side name plates.

    • When removing the body side name plate, heat the vehicle body and body side name plate using a heat light.

    Standard
    Item Temperature
    Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
    Body Side Name Plate 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the vehicle body or body side name plate excessively.

      Put protective tape around the body side name plate.

    2. Insert piano wire between the vehicle body and body side name plate.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to the piano wire ends.

    4. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the body side name plate to the vehicle body.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    5. Remove the body side name plate.

      Remove the No. 1 rocker panel moulding protector.

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 ROCKER PANEL MOULDING PROTECTOR


    1. A01FSUP

      Remove the No. 2 rocker panel moulding protector.

  4. REMOVE NO. 2 ROCKER PANEL MOULDING PROTECTOR


    1. A01FVOJ

      Remove the No. 2 rocker panel moulding protector.

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 SIDE MUDGUARD PROTECTOR
