FRONT BUMPER (except Sport Package) DISASSEMBLY


  1. REMOVE NO. 4 ENGINE ROOM WIRE (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)


    1. Disconnect the 4 connectors.

    2. for Sport Package:

      Detach the 10 clamps and remove the No. 4 engine room wire.

    3. except Sport Package:

      Detach the 11 clamps and remove the No. 4 engine room wire.

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor.

      Tech Tips


      • The illustration shows the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor for the RH corner . The horizontal orientation of the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor for the LH corner is opposite that of the image shown in the illustration.

      • Use the same procedure for all No. 1 ultrasonic sensors.

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)

      Remove the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor retainer from the front bumper cover.

    2. Remove the old double-sided tape from the front bumper cover.

      Tech Tips


      • The illustration shows the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor retainer for the RH corner and front sensor retainer LH. The vertical orientation of the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor retainers for the LH corner and front sensor retainer RH is opposite that of the image shown in the illustration.

      • Use the same procedure for all No. 1 ultrasonic sensor retainers.

  4. REMOVE NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)

      Remove the No. 2 ultrasonic sensor retainer from the front bumper cover.

    2. Remove the old double-sided tape from the front bumper cover.

      Tech Tips


      • The illustration shows the No. 2 ultrasonic sensor retainer for the front sensor retainer LH. The vertical orientation of the No. 2 ultrasonic sensor retainers for the front sensor retainer RH is opposite that of the image shown in the illustration.

      • Use the same procedure for all No. 2 ultrasonic sensor retainers.

  5. REMOVE ULTRASONIC SENSOR CLIP (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)

      for LH Side:

      Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the ultrasonic sensor clip from the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  6. REMOVE HEADLIGHT CLEANER WASHER NOZZLE COVER (w/ Headlight Cleaner System)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for both headlight cleaner washer nozzle covers.

      Extend the headlight cleaner washer nozzle cover.

    2. Detach the claw and remove the headlight cleaner washer nozzle cover.

  7. REMOVE HEADLIGHT WASHER ACTUATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Headlight Cleaner System)

      for Sport Package:


      1. Remove the clamp from the front bumper cover.

    2. A01FVN7

      Remove the screw.

    3. Push the tab shown by allow (1) and disengage the 2 claws and remove the headlight washer actuator sub-assembly LH as shown in the illustration.

      Remove the spring nut from the headlight washer actuator sub-assembly LH.

  8. REMOVE HEADLIGHT WASHER ACTUATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Headlight Cleaner System)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  9. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER EXTENSION MOUNTING BRACKET

      Remove the 2 screws and front bumper extension mounting bracket.

  10. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE PROTECTOR

      Detach the 16 clips and remove the radiator grille protector.

  11. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE

      Remove the 2 screws and 2 clips.

      Put protective tape around the radiator grille.

    3. Detach the 10 claws and remove the radiator grille.

  12. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 RADIATOR GRILLE

      Detach the 16 claws and remove the lower No. 1 radiator grille.

  15. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIATOR GRILLE GARNISH

      Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Detach the 3 claws and remove the No. 2 radiator grille garnish.

  16. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE GARNISH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the No. 2 radiator grille garnish.

  17. REMOVE FOG LIGHT COVER LH

      Detach the 3 claws and remove the fog light cover.

  18. REMOVE FOG LIGHT COVER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  19. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER LOWER COVER

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the front bumper lower cover.

  20. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER PAD

      Remove the front bumper pad.
