OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR REMOVAL

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG LH


    1. A01FRRP

      Detach the 3 claws and remove the front door inside handle bezel plug.

  2. REMOVE MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT UPPER ARMREST BASE PANEL LH (for Driver Side)


    1. A01FTIQ

      Detach the 2 clips and 5 claws.

    2. Disconnect the connector and remove the power window regulator master switch assembly with front door armrest base panel.

  3. REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT UPPER ARMREST BASE PANEL RH (for Front Passenger Side)


    1. A01FTGK

      Using a moulding remover B, detach the 2 clips, 3 guides and 5 claws and remove the power window regulator switch assembly with front upper base panel RH.

    2. Disconnect the connector and armrest base panel assembly.

  4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR HOLE COVER


    1. Remove the front door hole cover.

  5. REMOVE COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY


    1. A01FTYO

      Using a moulding remover A, detach the claw and remove the courtesy light assembly.

    2. Disconnect the connector.

  6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01FRGD

      Remove the 3 screws.

    2. Detach the 9 clips.

    3. A01FT5UE01

      Detach the reference boss in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.

    4. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the front door trim board.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    5. Disconnect each connector.

    6. A01FSKV

      Disconnect the front door lock remote control cable and front door inside locking cable.

  7. REMOVE FRONT INNER DOOR GLASS WEATHERSTRIP LH


    1. A01FUEW

      Remove the front door inner glass weatherstrip.

  8. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR PROTECTOR


    1. A01FVYF

      Remove the outer mirror protector.

  9. REMOVE NO. 2 FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH


    1. A01FUOD

      Remove the No. 2 front door service hole cover LH.

      Tech Tips

      Remove any remaining butyl tape from the front door panel.

  10. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01FQT1

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Using a clip remover, detach the 2 clamps.

    3. Remove the 3 nuts.

    4. Detach the 2 claws and remove the outer rear view mirror assembly LH.
