LUGGAGE DOOR HINGE TORSION BAR REMOVAL

CAUTION:

Remove the luggage door hinge torsion bar while holding the luggage compartment door panel.


  1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT


    1. Remove the luggage compartment floor mat.

  2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER LH


    1. Remove the luggage compartment trim cover LH.

  3. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER RH


    1. Remove the luggage compartment trim cover RH.

  4. REMOVE SIDE TRIM BOX


    1. Remove the side trim box.

  5. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE TRAY (w/ Spare Tire)


    1. Remove the luggage compartment side tray.

  6. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM BOX (w/o Spare Tire)


    1. Remove the luggage compartment trim box.

  7. REMOVE SPARE WHEEL COVER TRAY (w/o Spare Tire)


    1. Remove the spare wheel cover tray.

  8. REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY

    Use the same procedure for all rope hooks.


    1. Detach the 2 claws and open the cover.

      Remove the bolt and rope hook assembly.

  9. REMOVE REAR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRAY BRACKET LH

      Remove the clip.

    2. Detach the claw and remove the rear luggage compartment tray bracket LH.

  10. REMOVE REAR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRAY BRACKET RH

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  11. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the No. 1 luggage compartment trim hook.

  12. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY

      Using a screwdriver wrapped with protective tape, detach the 2 claws and remove the No. 1 luggage compartment light assembly.

    2. Disconnect the connector.

    1. Remove the 3 No. 2 luggage compartment trim hooks as shown in the illustration.

      Remove the 5 clips.

    3. Detach the 3 guides and remove the rear luggage compartment trim cover.

  14. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE

      Remove the 3 clips.

    2. A01FVHT

      Detach the 6 clips and remove the rear floor finish plate.

  15. REMOVE FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER

      Remove the 3 clips, 2 nuts and front luggage compartment trim cover.

  16. REMOVE ROPE HOOK

    Use the same procedure for both rope hooks.


    1. Pinch the rope hook as indicated by the arrows in the illustration to remove the rope hook.

  17. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM INNER COVER LH

    1. Using a clip remover, remove the clip.

    2. Detach the 2 claws and remove the clip.

    3. Detach the clip and remove the luggage compartment trim inner cover LH.

  18. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM INNER COVER RH

    1. Using a clip remover, remove the clip.

    2. Detach the 2 claws and remove the clip.

    3. Detach the clip and remove the luggage compartment trim inner cover RH.

  19. REMOVE LUGGAGE LOCK CONTROL CABLE PLATE (w/ Handle)

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the luggage lock control cable plate.

  20. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE (w/ Handle)

      Disconnect the luggage compartment door inside handle from the luggage door lock control cable sub-assembly.

  21. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSIST GRIP

      Detach the 2 claws and open the cover.

    2. A01FUY9

      Remove the 2 screws and luggage compartment door assist grip.

  22. REMOVE SWITCH BEZEL (w/ Power Trunk Lid System)

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the switch bezel.

  23. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR COVER

      Remove the 15 clips and luggage compartment door cover.

      Remove the 3 clips and luggage compartment door hinge cover LH.

      Note

      If the cover of the luggage compartment door torsion bar support is opened, replace the luggage compartment door torsion bar support with a new one.

      Disconnect the luggage door hinge torsion bar LH from the luggage compartment door torsion bar support.

    4. A01FRXS

      Using SST, disconnect the luggage door hinge torsion bar LH from the luggage compartment door hinge as shown in the illustration.

    5. A01FURP

      Detach the 3 guides and remove the luggage door hinge torsion bar LH.

  27. REMOVE LUGGAGE DOOR HINGE TORSION BAR RH

      Using SST, disconnect the luggage door hinge torsion bar RH from the luggage compartment door hinge as shown in the illustration.

      Detach the 3 guides and remove the luggage door hinge torsion bar RH.

  28. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR TORSION BAR SUPPORT


    1. A01FUNL

      Rotate the luggage compartment door torsion bar support in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to remove the luggage compartment door torsion bar support.
