HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for LHD) REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER


    1. A01FSOM

      Remove the 4 clips and engine room side cover.

  2. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL


    1. A01FQQK

      Remove the 7 clips and cool air intake duct seal.

  3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER UPPER PROTECTOR LH


    1. A01FRE4

      Detach the 3 clips and remove the front fender upper protector.

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the 3 screws <A>.

    2. Detach the 2 claws.

    3. Disconnect the connectors, detach the clamp and remove the No. 1 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.

  5. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Detach the 3 claws.

    2. A01FTC0

      Remove the hood lock control lever from the hood lock control cable.

  6. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)

  7. REMOVE HOOD LOCK RELEASE LEVER PROTECTOR


    1. Disconnect the connector and detach the 2 clamps.

    2. A01FRM4

      Remove the 2 clips and hood lock release lever protector.

  8. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. A01FU6G

      Remove the 3 bolts.

    2. A01FVLT

      Remove the hood lock from the hood lock control cable.

  9. REMOVE INLET NO. 1 AIR CLEANER (w/ Cover)


    1. A01FPYO

      Remove the bolt and No. 1 air cleaner inlet.

  10. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT (w/ Cover)


    1. A01FRVF

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the 2 screws.

    2. Disconnect each connector.

    3. A01FQR3

      Remove the 5 bolts and upper radiator support.

  11. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER (w/ Cover)


    1. A01FTRK

      Detach the guide and remove the hood lock control cable cover.

  12. REMOVE NO. 2 HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER (w/ Cover)


    1. A01FR19

      Remove the screw.

    2. Detach the claw and remove the No. 2 hood lock control cable cover.

  13. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

      Tie a string to the end of the hood lock control cable as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Use a length of string long enough to pass through the engine compartment.

    2. Detach each clamp, and then pull out the hood lock control cable from the vehicle body.

    3. Untie the string from the hood lock control cable.
