WINDSHIELD DEICER SYSTEM SYSTEM DESCRIPTION


  1. GENERAL

    The windshield deicer thin heater wires are attached to the inside of the windshield glass to help and deice the window surface more quickly. The indicator light illuminates while the system is operating. The system automatically turns off after approximately 15 minutes.

    Note

    If the auxiliary battery voltage becomes low, windshield deicer operation is canceled to prioritize supplying power to the power steering system.


  2. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENT

    		 Sends signals to the multi-media module receiver assembly to operate the windshield deicer.
    Multi-media Module Receiver Assembly Sends signals to the air conditioning amplifier assembly to operate the windshield deicer.
    Air Conditioning Amplifier Assembly Sends windshield deicer activation request signals to the DEICER relay.
    DEICER Relay Receives windshield deicer activation request signals from the air conditioning amplifier assembly and supplies power to the windshield deicer (windshield glass).
    Windshield Deicer Receives power from the DEICER relay and heats the windshield deicer.
