INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD INSTALLATION

Tech Tips

Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.
The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.
A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart Click here.

INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK COVER
1. Attach the 3 claws to install the glove compartment door lock cover.
INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
1. Install the glove compartment door lock assembly with the 2 screws <A>.

INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY

w/ Headup Display:

Attach the 2 guides to install the instrument safety pad sub-assembly.
Install the 2 passenger airbag bolts <F>.

Torque:

20 N*m { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }
Install the 2 bolts <C>, nut <D> and 2 bolts <E>.
Attach the 2 claws to connect the room temperature sensor.

Connect the connectors and attach the clamp.

w/o Headup Display:

Attach the 2 guides to install the instrument safety pad sub-assembly.
Install the 2 passenger airbag bolts <F>.

Torque:

20 N*m { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }
Install the 2 bolts <C>, nut <D> and 2 bolts <E>.
Attach the 2 claws to connect the room temperature sensor.

Connect the connectors and attach the clamp.

INSTALL MULTI-DISPLAY (for 8 Inch)
1. Connect all the connectors.
2. Move the multi-display in the direction of the arrow in the illustration to temporarily install it.
3. Install the multi-display with the 4 screws.
INSTALL ACCESSORY METER ASSEMBLY (for 12.3 Inch)
1. Connect the connectors.
2. Install the accessory meter assembly with the 4 bolts.
INSTALL UPPER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL
1. Attach the 2 clips and 3 claws to install the upper instrument cluster finish panel.
2. Install the 3 clips <B>.

INSTALL FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY
1. Connect the connector.
2. Align the guides of the speaker with the concave portions of the instrument panel and set the speaker on the panel.
3. Install the front No. 3 speaker assembly with the 2 screws.
  Note
  - Do not touch the cone of the speaker.
  - When installing the speaker, make sure that the wire harness does not get caught between the speaker and instrument panel.
INSTALL NO. 1 SPEAKER OPENING COVER ASSEMBLY
1. Attach the claw, 4 clips and guide to install the No. 1 speaker opening cover assembly.

INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

Connect the connector.
Align the guides of the speaker with the concave portions of the instrument panel and set the speaker on the panel.

Install the front No. 2 speaker assembly with the 2 screws.

Note

Do not touch the cone of the speaker.
When installing the speaker, make sure that the wire harness does not get caught between the speaker and instrument panel.

Tech Tips

Tighten the screws in the order shown in the illustration.
Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
The procedure listed above is for the RH side.

INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Attach the 2 clips and 2 guides to install the No. 1 instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly.
INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Attach the 2 clips and 2 guides to install the No. 2 instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly.
INSTALL NO. 3 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY
1. Connect the connector.
2. Attach the 4 clips and claw to install the No. 3 instrument panel register assembly.
INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Attach the 8 clips to install the No. 2 instrument panel garnish sub-assembly.
2. Install the 2 screws <G> to the back of the No. 2 instrument panel garnish sub-assembly.
INSTALL TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER (w/ Telematics Transceiver)
1. Connect all the connectors.
2. Install the telematics transceiver with the 3 bolts.
  
  Tech Tips
  
  Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the illustration.
INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY
1. Connect the connectors.
2. Attach the 7 clips to install the No. 2 instrument panel register assembly.
INSTALL MULTI-MEDIA MODULE RECEIVER ASSEMBLY
1. Connect the connectors.
2. Insert the multi-media module receiver assembly.
  
  Note
  
  When inserting the multi-media module receiver assembly, do not press the knobs on it.
3. Attach the 2 claws and 2 clips.
4. Install the multi-media module receiver assembly with the 2 bolts.
INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY

1. Connect the connectors and attach the clamp.
2. Attach the 6 clips to install the glove compartment door assembly.
3. Install the 3 screws <A> and 2 bolts <E>.
INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Connect the connectors and attach the clamp.
2. Attach the 5 clips and 2 guides to install the No. 2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.
INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH
1. w/ Airbag Cut Off Switch:
  1. Connect the connector.
2. Attach the 7 clips to install the instrument side panel RH.
INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY
1. Connect the connector.
2. Attach the 4 clips to install the No. 1 instrument panel register assembly.
INSTALL COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
1. Connect the connectors and attach the clamp.
2. Install the combination meter assembly with the 4 screws.

INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Connect the connectors.
2. Attach the 6 clips and 6 claws to install the instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly.
INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY
1. Attach the 9 clips and 2 guides to install the instrument cluster finish panel assembly.
INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
1. Check that the power switch is off.
2. Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
  
  CAUTION:
  
  Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
3. Connect the airbag connector to the lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly.
  
  Note
  
  When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
4. Push in the lock to install the airbag connector.
5. Attach the 3 claws to connect the hood lock control lever sub-assembly to the lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly.
6. Temporarily install the lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly with the hook and pin.
7. Install the lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly with the 4 bolts.
  
  Torque:
  
  10 N*m { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }
  
  Note
  
  Confirm that the lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly is installed securely without any excessive gaps and is not protruding outward.
INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Connect the connectors.
2. Attach the 9 clips and guide to install the No. 1 instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly.
INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Connect the connectors and attach the clamp.
2. Attach the 2 claws to install the No. 1 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.
3. Install the 3 screws <A>.
INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Attach the 4 clips to install the No. 1 instrument panel garnish sub-assembly.
INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH
1. Attach the 7 clips to install the instrument side panel LH.

INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH

Attach the guide.
Turn the end of the front pillar garnish clip 90° with needle-nose pliers and install it to the front pillar garnish LH.

Tech Tips

Tape the tips of the needle-nose pliers before use.

Attach the 2 clips to install the front pillar garnish LH.

Note

After installing the front pillar garnish LH, make sure that the lip of the front door opening trim weatherstrip LH is not pinched.

INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH
1. Attach the 5 claws to install the front door opening trim cover LH.
  
  Note
  
  After installing the front door opening trim cover LH, make sure that the lip of the front door opening trim weatherstrip LH is not pinched.

1. Attach the 10 claws and 4 clips to install the front door scuff plate LH.

INSTALL CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

ENABLE AUTOAWAY/RETURN FUNCTION
1. Restore the autoaway/return function setting to the previous condition by changing the customize parameter Click here.

INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER LH
1. Install the luggage compartment trim cover LH.
INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT
1. Install the luggage compartment floor mat.
