The main body ECU receives a luggage compartment door open or closed signal from luggage door courtesy light switch.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note


  • Recognition code registration is necessary when replacing the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

  • If the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) is replaced, refer to the Service Bulletin.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (LUGGAGE DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH)


    1. Using the GTS, read the Data List Click here.

      ON: Luggage compartment door open

      OFF: Luggage compartment door closed

      For vehicles with power trunk lid system, this item is not related luggage compartment door condition.

  2. INSPECT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the luggage compartment door lock Click here.

    2. Inspect the luggage compartment door lock Click here.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK - MAIN BODY ECU AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the a8 luggage compartment door lock connector.

    2. Disconnect the N12 main body ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      a8-3 (D+) - N12-19 (LGCY) Always Below 1 Ω
      a8-2 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      a8-3 (D+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
