The main body ECU detects the condition of each door unlock detection switch.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

CAUTION:


  • Recognition code registration is necessary when replacing the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

  • If the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) is replaced, refer to the Service Bulletin.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (DOOR LOCK POSITION SWITCH)


    1. Using the GTS, read the Data List Click here.

    1. Remove the front door lock RH Click here.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH - FRONT DOOR LOCK RH AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the Q3 and Q4 front multiplex network door ECU RH connectors.

    2. Disconnect the Q7 front door lock RH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Q3-22 (LSWE) - Q7-8 (E) Always Below 1 Ω
      Q4-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      Q3-22 (LSWE) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT DOOR LOCK RH - MAIN BODY ECU)


    1. Disconnect the Q7 front door lock RH connector.

    2. Disconnect the N12 main body ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Q7-7 (LSSR) - N12-18 (LSFR) Always Below 1 Ω
      Q7-7 (LSSR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. Disconnect the Q18 and Q19 front multiplex network door ECU LH connectors.

    2. Disconnect the Q22 front door lock LH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Q18-22 (LSWE) - Q22-7 (E) Always Below 1 Ω
      Q19-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      Q18-22 (LSWE) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT DOOR LOCK LH - MAIN BODY ECU)


    1. Disconnect the Q22 front door lock LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the N12 main body ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
