INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note


  • If the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) is replaced, refer to the Service Bulletin.

  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (INTRUSION SENS OFF SW)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

    5. According to the display on the GTS, read the Data List.

      ON: Intrusion sensor cancel switch on

      The indicator on the GTS switches between ON and OFF in accordance with the intrusion sensor cancel switch status.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU [MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU] - MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the N13 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    2. Disconnect the Y9 map light assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N13-11 (SSW1) - Y9-13 (SOFF) Always Below 1 Ω
      Y9-10 (GND) - Boy ground Always Below 1 Ω
      N13-11 (SSW1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  3. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (INTRUSION SENSOR CANCEL SWITCH)

      Remove the map light assembly (intrusion sensor cancel switch) Click here.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      13 (SOFF) - 10 (GND) Intrusion sensor cancel switch not pressed 10 kΩ or higher
      13 (SOFF) - 10 (GND) Intrusion sensor cancel switch pressed Below 1 Ω
