PRECAUTIONS WHEN USING GTS
When using the GTS with the power switch off to troubleshoot: Connect the GTS to the DLC3, and turn a courtesy light switch on and off at 1.5 seconds or less intervals until communication between the GTS and vehicle begins.
After all DTCs are cleared, check if the trouble occurs again 6 seconds after turning the power switch on (IG).
PRECAUTION FOR REGISTRATION
If replacing any of the following parts, refer to the Service Bulletin.
Note
Any keys or ECUs for which registration has been performed cannot be reused.
Certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly)
ID code box (immobiliser code ECU)
Main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU)
Steering lock ECU (steering lock actuator assembly)
Electrical key transmitter sub-assembly
After replacing the steering lock ECU (steering lock actuator assembly), confirm the lock/unlock operation of the steering lock.
| Steering Lock | Operation Condition |
|---|---|
| Locks | With the power switch off, open and close any door. |
| Unlocks | Turn the power switch from off to on (ACC) or on (IG). |
PRECAUTIONS FOR AUXILIARY BATTERY
Immediately after disconnecting and reconnecting the auxiliary battery cable, the entry unlock function may not operate. If this occurs, the entry unlock function can be restored by performing a wireless door lock and unlock operation.
When the auxiliary battery is discharged, if the auxiliary battery of another vehicle is used to jump start the hybrid system, move the shift lever to P and open and close the driver door with the power switch off before starting the hybrid system.
After the auxiliary battery is removed and reinstalled, be sure to wait 10 seconds or more before the next hybrid system start. The hybrid system may not start immediately after the auxiliary battery is reinstalled.
Tech Tips
After disconnecting and reconnecting the auxiliary battery cable, the hybrid system may not start on the first attempt. If this occurs, turn the power switch off. The hybrid system will start normally from the second time onward.
When the auxiliary battery cable is disconnected and reconnected, the power source mode returns to the mode it was in before the auxiliary battery cable was disconnected.
