  1. INSPECT BLIND SPOT MONITOR MAIN SWITCH (INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY)

      (Blind Spot Monitor Main Switch (Integration Control And Panel Assembly))

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      1 (B) - 16 (B) Blind spot monitor main switch (integration control and panel assembly) on Below 1 Ω
      1 (B) - 16 (B) Blind spot monitor main switch (integration control and panel assembly) off 10 kΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the blind spot monitor main switch (integration control and panel assembly).

    2. Check that the switch illuminates.

        Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the blind spot monitor main switch (integration control and panel assembly) and check that the switch illuminates.

        OK
        Connection Specified Condition

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 3 (ILL+)

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 6 (ILL-)

        		 Indicator illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the blind spot monitor main switch (integration control and panel assembly).

    3. Check the switch indicator.

        Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the blind spot monitor main switch (integration control and panel assembly) and check the operation of the switch as shown in the table below.

        OK
        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 (B)

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 8 (E)

        		 Blind spot monitor main switch (integration control and panel assembly) on Indicator Illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the blind spot monitor main switch (integration control and panel assembly).
