DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the blind spot monitor sensor LH detects a +B short in the outer rear view mirror indicator LH.

Both of the following conditions are met:


  • Blind spot monitor main switch (integration control and panel assembly) is on.

  • The blind spot monitor sensor is not sending voltage to the indicator but the indicator receives voltage above a specified level for a specified period of time.

  • Harness or connector

  • Outer rear view mirror assembly LH

  • Outer mirror LH

  • Front multiplex network door ECU LH

  • Blind spot monitor sensor LH

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot monitor main switch (integration control and panel assembly) is on.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again Click here.

      OK
      DTC C1AB1 is not output.

    NG

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH - OUTER MIRROR LH) Click here

    OK

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK Click here

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH - OUTER MIRROR LH)


    1. Disconnect the U59 blind spot monitor sensor LH connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      U59-4 (OMIL) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) Below 1 V

    NG

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH - FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU LH) Click here

    REPLACE BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH Click here

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH - FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU LH)


    1. Disconnect the U59 blind spot monitor sensor LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the Q19 front multiplex network door ECU LH connector.

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      U59-4 (OMIL) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) Below 1 V

    NG

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  4. CHECK OUTER MIRROR LH


    1. Replace the outer mirror LH Click here.

    2. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again Click here.

      OK
      DTC C1AB1 is not output.

    NG

    CHECK OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH Click here

  5. CHECK OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Replace the outer rear view mirror assembly LH Click here.

    2. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again Click here.

      OK
      DTC C1AB1 is not output.

    CHECK FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU LH Click here

  6. CHECK FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU LH


    1. Replace the front multiplex network door ECU LH Click here.

    2. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again Click here.

      DTC C1AB1 is not output.
