DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the blind spot monitor sensor RH detects a +B short in the outer rear view mirror indicator RH.

Both of the following conditions are met:


  • Blind spot monitor main switch (integration control and panel assembly) is on.

  • The blind spot monitor sensor is not sending voltage to the indicator but the indicator receives voltage above a specified level for a specified period of time.

  • Harness or connector

  • Outer rear view mirror assembly RH

  • Outer mirror RH

  • Front multiplex network door ECU RH

  • Blind spot monitor sensor RH

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot monitor main switch (integration control and panel assembly) is on.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again Click here.

      OK
      DTC C1AB0 is not output.

    NG

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH - OUTER MIRROR RH) Click here

    OK

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK Click here

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH - OUTER MIRROR RH)


    1. Disconnect the T53 blind spot monitor sensor RH connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      T53-4 (OMIR) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) Below 1 V

    NG

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH - FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH) Click here

    REPLACE BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH Click here

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH - FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH)


    1. Disconnect the T53 blind spot monitor sensor RH connector.

    2. Disconnect the Q4 front multiplex network door ECU RH.

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      T53-4 (OMIR) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) Below 1 V

    NG

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  4. CHECK OUTER MIRROR RH


    1. Replace the outer mirror RH Click here.

    2. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again Click here.

      OK
      DTC C1AB0 is not output.

    NG

    CHECK OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH Click here

    END (OUTER MIRROR RH IS DEFECTIVE)

  5. CHECK OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Replace the outer rear view mirror assembly RH Click here.

    2. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again Click here.

      OK
      DTC C1AB0 is not output.

    NG

    CHECK FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH Click here

    OK

    END (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH IS DEFECTIVE)

  6. CHECK FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH


    1. Replace the front multiplex network door ECU RH Click here.

    2. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again Click here.

      OK
      DTC C1AB0 is not output.
