DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the blind spot monitor sensor RH detects an open in the outer rear view mirror indicator RH.

Both of the following conditions are met:


  • Blind spot monitor main switch (integration control and panel assembly) is on.

  • The current flowing to the indicator is below a specified value when indicator operation voltage is being sent to the indicator.

  • Harness or connector

  • Outer mirror RH

  • Outer rear view mirror assembly RH

  • Front multiplex network door ECU RH

  • Blind spot monitor sensor RH

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot monitor main switch (integration control and panel assembly) is on.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again Click here.

      OK
      DTC C1AB4 is not output.

    NG

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH - FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH) Click here

    OK

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK Click here

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH - FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH)


    1. Disconnect the T53 blind spot monitor sensor RH connector.

    2. Disconnect the Q4 front multiplex network door ECU RH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      T53-4 (OMIR) - Q4-21 (BSMI) Always Below 1 Ω

    NG

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  3. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR RH (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR INDICATOR RH)


    1. Remove the outer mirror RH Click here.

    2. Inspect the outer mirror RH (outer rear view mirror indicator RH) Click here.


    NG

    REPLACE OUTER MIRROR RH Click here

    OK

  4. CHECK OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Replace the outer rear view mirror assembly RH Click here.

    2. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again Click here.

      OK
      DTC C1AB4 is not output.

    NG

    CHECK FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH Click here

    OK

    END (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH IS DEFECTIVE)

  5. CHECK FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH


    1. Replace the front multiplex network door ECU RH Click here.

    2. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again Click here.

      OK
      DTC C1AB4 is not output.

    REPLACE BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH Click here
