  1. CHECK PROBLEM SYMPTOM (WARNING NOTIFICATION FUNCTION)


    1. Check the problem symptom.


      1. Check the problem symptom of the warning notification function.

        Tech Tips


        • The warning notification function sends information to the G-BOOK center through communication.

        • Carefully confirm the conditions that caused the malfunction in order to determine if a temporary problem with the radio wave caused the malfunction.

    1. Check if the indicated warning light or message is listed in the following table.

  3. CHECK FOR SERVICE FLAG


    1. Check for service flags.


      1. Enter diagnostic mode Click here.

      2. Select "Service Information" on the "Service Menu" screen.

      4. Check if the flag information indicates "1" as shown in the illustration.

  4. CHECK CONNECTION


    1. Select "G-BOOK.com" and check that G-BOOK.com screen is displayed.

  5. CHECK METER WARNING LIGHT


    1. Check if a warning light on the combination meter assembly comes on or a warning message on the multi-information display is displayed even when there is no problem.

      There are no problems with warning lights or warning messages.

      Tech Tips

      The warning notification function of the telematics system uses the warning notification signals sent and received by the meter / gauge system. Therefore, if the meter / gauge system is not operating normally, the warning notification function will not operate normally.

  6. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Bus Check.

    5. Check that all ECUs and sensors that use CAN communication are connected.

  7. CHECK DTC OUTPUT


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Health Check.

    5. Check for DTCs.
