STEERING WHEEL REMOVAL

  1. PLACE FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD

  2. REMOVE STEERING PAD

    Click here

  3. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the steering wheel set nut.

    2. Place matchmarks on the steering wheel and main shaft.

      Using SST, remove the steering wheel assembly.

  4. REMOVE STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the connector from the spiral cable.

    2. A01FS1Q

      Disconnect the connector and remove the clamp.

    3. A01FSIPE01

      Remove the 2 screws.

    4. Detach the 2 pins and 2 claws and remove the switch assembly.

  5. REMOVE CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH


    1. A01FUWZ

      Detach the clamp.

    2. Disconnect the connector.

    3. A01FUFV

      Remove the 2 screws and cruise control main switch.

  6. REMOVE CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH WIRE


    1. Remove the cruise control main switch wire.

  7. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 STEERING WHEEL BOSS COVER

      Remove the 2 screws and lower 2 No. 1 steering wheel boss covers from the steering wheel assembly.

  8. REMOVE TRANSMISSION SHIFT SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. A01FQ97

      Disconnect the connector and detach the 4 guides from the steering wheel assembly.

    2. A01FRH1

      Remove the 2 screws and transmission shift switch assembly with switch wire from the steering wheel assembly.

    3. Disconnect the 2 connectors and remove the 2 transmission shift switch assemblies from the switch wire.

  9. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL BOSS LOWER COVER


    1. w/ Steering Heater:

      Disconnect the connector from the steering wheel heater control assembly.

      Detach the 4 claws to remove the steering wheel boss lower cover from the steering wheel.

  10. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL HEATER CONTROL ASSEMBLY (w/ Steering Heater)


    1. A01FVTY

      Detach the clamp.

    2. Remove the 2 screws and steering wheel heater control assembly from the lower steering wheel boss cover.

  11. REMOVE STEERING SHAKE DAMPER


    1. A01FQ71

      Remove the 2 screws and shake damper.
