DTC Code DTC Name
C1515/15 Torque Sensor Zero Point Adjustment is not Initialized
C1516/16 Torque Sensor Zero Point Adjustment Incomplete
C1525/17 Rotation Angle Sensor Initialization Undone
C1526/18 Rotation Angle Sensor Initialization Incomplete

DESCRIPTION

DTC Code DTC Detection Condition Procedure
C1515/15 Torque sensor zero point calibration has not been performed. There is no malfunction if this DTC is not output again after performing zero point calibration.
C1516/16 Steering zero point calibration is incomplete due to the steering wheel being touched during calibration. There is no malfunction if this DTC is not output again after clearing the DTCs and torque sensor calibration value, and then performing zero point calibration.
C1525/17 Motor rotation angle sensor value initialization has not been performed. There is no malfunction if this DTC is not output again after performing motor rotation angle sensor value initialization.
C1526/18 Motor rotation angle sensor value initialization is incomplete due to the steering wheel being touched during calibration. There is no malfunction if this DTC is not output again after clearing the DTCs and torque sensor calibration value, and then performing motor rotation angle sensor value initialization.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

  • If the power steering ECU assembly is replaced with a new one, perform assist map writing, clear the motor rotation angle sensor calibration value, initialize the motor rotation angle sensor value and calibrate the torque sensor zero point Click here.

  • If the power steering link assembly is replaced, clear the motor rotation angle sensor calibration value, initialize the motor rotation angle sensor value and calibrate the torque sensor zero point Click here.

Tech Tips

  • If DTC C1515/15 is output, perform torque sensor zero point calibration. If the DTC is no longer output, there is no malfunction.

  • If DTC C1516/16 is output, perform torque sensor zero point calibration after clearing the DTCs and sensor calibration values. If the DTC is no longer output, there is no malfunction.

  • If DTC C1525/17 is output, perform rotation angle sensor output calibration. If the DTC is no longer output, there is no malfunction.

  • If DTC C1526/18 is output, perform rotation angle sensor output calibration after clearing the DTCs and sensor calibration values. If the DTC is no longer output, there is no malfunction.
