  • Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.

  • The procedures listed below are for the LH side.


  1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

  2. REMOVE REAR DISC

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE SHOE RETURN TENSION SPRING

      Using SST, remove the No. 1 parking brake shoe return tension spring.

  4. REMOVE NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE SHOE RETURN TENSION SPRING

      Using SST, remove the No. 2 parking brake shoe return tension spring.

  5. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE ADJUSTING SCREW SET

      Slide the parking brake shoe, and remove the parking brake shoe adjusting screw set.

  6. REMOVE NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE SHOE ASSEMBLY

      Using SST, remove the parking brake shoe hold down spring cup, parking brake shoe hold down compression spring and parking brake shoe hold down spring pin.

      Tech Tips

      Use the service hole to retain the parking brake shoe hold down spring pin with your finger.

    2. Remove the No. 2 parking brake shoe assembly.

  7. REMOVE NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE SHOE ASSEMBLY

      Using SST, remove the parking brake shoe hold down spring cup, parking brake shoe hold down compression spring and parking brake shoe hold down spring pin.

      Tech Tips

      Use the service hole to retain the parking brake shoe hold down spring pin with your finger.

    2. Remove the No. 1 parking brake shoe assembly.

  8. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE LEVER

      Remove the parking brake shoe lever.

  9. DISCONNECT PARKING BRAKE CABLE

      Remove the nut and disconnect the parking brake cable.

  10. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE ANCHOR BLOCK SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01FUMN

      Remove the 2 nuts and parking brake anchor block sub-assembly.

  11. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE CABLE SUPPORT BRACKET


    1. A01FQ7X

      Remove the parking brake cable support bracket.
