BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER REASSEMBLY

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LHD vehicles.


  1. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR STRAINER


    1. Install the brake master cylinder reservoir strainer to the brake master cylinder reservoir assembly.

  2. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR FILLER CAP ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the brake master cylinder reservoir filler cap assembly to the brake master cylinder reservoir assembly.

  3. INSTALL BRAKE FLUID INFORMATION LABEL

  4. INSTALL MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR GROMMET

      *1 Lithium soap base glycol grease

      Apply a light coat of lithium soap base glycol grease to 2 new master cylinder reservoir grommets, and then install them to the master cylinder reservoir assembly.

  5. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the brake master cylinder reservoir assembly to the brake master cylinder body.

    2. Using a pin punch and hammer, install a pin to the brake master cylinder reservoir assembly.

  6. INSTALL MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS

      Temporarily install the lock nut and master cylinder push rod clevis to the brake master cylinder sub-assembly.

      Tech Tips

      Finish the installation of the lock nut and master cylinder push rod clevis when adjusting the brake pedal height.
