Note
While the auxiliary battery is connected, even if the power switch is off, the brake control system activates when the brake pedal is depressed or the driver door courtesy switch is turned on. Therefore, when servicing brake system components, do not depress the brake pedal or open/close the doors while the auxiliary battery is connected.

Note
After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.
REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT
Remove the luggage compartment floor mat.
REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER LH
Remove the luggage compartment trim cover LH.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM AUXILIARY BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery negative (-) terminal to disable the SRS system.

REMOVE BENCH TYPE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY
REMOVE BRAKE CONTROL POWER SUPPLY ASSEMBLY
CAUTION:
After removing the brake control power supply assembly from the vehicle, there may be an electrical charge left in the internal capacitor. If planning to inspect the inside of the brake control power supply assembly, leave it as is for more than 24 hours (to discharge it) after removing it from the vehicle. Then, perform the inspection.
Disconnect the connector.
Remove the 2 bolts and brake control power supply.
REMOVE NO. 1 BRAKE CONTROL POWER SUPPLY BRACKET
Using a screwdriver, detach the claw labeled A in the illustration and remove the 2 No. 1 brake control power supply brackets.
Note
Do not drop the brake control power supply. If the brake control power supply has been dropped, replace the brake control power supply with a new one.
