DESCRIPTION

Sensor check mode can be entered by connecting terminals TS and CG of the DLC3 and turning the power switch from off to on (IG).

  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM


    1. Check if a CAN communication system DTC is output (for LHD: Click here, for RHD: Click here.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CG OF DLC3 - BODY GROUND)

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N20-4 (CG) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TS OF DLC3 - POWER STEERING ECU ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the A29 power steering ECU assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N20-12 (TS) - A29-5 (TS) Always Below 1 Ω
      N20-12 (TS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. CHECK POWER STEERING ECU ASSEMBLY


    1. Reconnect the power steering ECU assembly connector.

      Using SST, connect terminals 12 (TS) and 4 (CG) of the DLC3.

    3. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    4. Check that the power steering warning light is blinking.
