REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. INSTALL SEAT BELT RETRACTOR COVER


    1. Install the seat belt retractor cover so that the arrow on the bottom points toward the front of the vehicle.

  2. INSTALL REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Temporarily install the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly LH with the 2 bolts.

    2. A01FUFME01

      Fully tighten the bolt <A> first, then the bolt <B> to install the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly LH.

      Torque:
      Bolt <A>
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }
      Bolt <B>
      7.5 N*m  { 76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }

    3. Connect the connector.

    4. Connect the pretensioner connector and lock the locking button as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Securely lock the locking button.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

    5. Check if the ELR locks.

      Note

      The check should be performed with the rear seat 3 point type belt assembly installed.


      1. With the belt assembly installed, check that the belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.

  3. INSTALL PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY


    1. w/o Rear Sunshade:


      1. Pass the 3 rear seat belt floor anchors through the package tray trim panel assembly.

      2. Insert the package tray trim panel assembly into the 5 guides and attach the 4 clips to install the package tray trim panel assembly.

      3. Connect the center stop light assembly connector.

      4. Attach the 4 claws to install the center stop light cover.

    2. w/ Rear Sunshade:


      1. Pass the 3 rear seat belt floor anchors through the package tray trim panel assembly.

      2. Insert the package tray trim panel assembly into the rear window shade assembly and attach the 4 clips to install the package tray trim panel assembly.

    3. Engage the 4 claws to install the belt guide of rear seat inner with center belt assembly LH to the package tray trim panel assembly.

    4. Engage the 4 claws to install the 2 rear seat shoulder belt hole covers to the package tray trim panel assembly.

    5. Engage the 4 claws to install the 3 child restraint tether anchor covers.

  4. INSTALL INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH LH

    1. w/ Rear Sunshade:


      1. Insert the rear window shade assembly and attach the 3 guides.

      2. Attach the 4 clips to install the inner roof side garnish LH.

        Note

        After installing the inner roof side garnish LH, make sure that the lip of the rear door opening trim weatherstrip LH is not pinched.

    2. w/o Rear Sunshade:


      1. Attach the 4 clips and 3 guides to install the inner roof side garnish LH.

        Note

        After installing the inner roof side garnish LH, make sure that the lip of the rear door opening trim weatherstrip LH is not pinched.

  5. INSTALL INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  6. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH


    1. Attach the 4 claws and guide to install the rear seat side garnish LH.

      Note

      After installing the rear seat side garnish LH, make sure that the lip of the rear door opening trim weatherstrip LH is not pinched.

  7. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  8. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH


    1. Attach the 10 claws and 3 clips to install the rear door scuff plate LH.

  9. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  10. INSTALL BENCH TYPE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY


    1. A01FVGF

      Attach the 2 hooks on the backside of the bench type rear seatback assembly.

      Note


      • 2 or more people are required when inserting the bench type rear seatback assembly into the vehicle.

      • Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. Install the bench type rear seatback assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

    3. Connect the rear seat wire RH connector.

    4. Connect the 2 rear seat airbag connectors.

      Note

      When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.


      1. Before connecting the connector, check that the position of the white housing lock is correct as shown in the illustration.

      2. Be sure to engage the connectors until they are locked (when locking, make sure that a click sound can be heard).

        Tech Tips

        When engaged, the white housing lock will slide. Be sure not to hold the white housing lock and part (A), as it may result in an insecure fit.

      3. Check that the CPA and the rear edge of the housing are aligned.

    5. A01FV76

      Connect the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly to the shoulder belt guide.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to connect the other side of the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly.

    6. Attach the 2 claws to close the 2 caps of the rear seat shoulder belt guide.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to close the 2 caps on the other side.

    7. A01FSNY

      Connect the rear seat inner with center belt assembly LH to the rear center seat shoulder belt guide.

    8. Attach the claw to close the cap of the rear center seat shoulder belt guide.

    9. A01FUXPE01

      Connect the anchor part of the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly LH with the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

    10. Connect the anchor part of the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly RH with the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Install the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly LH and rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly RH so that the angle of the floor anchor is within the standard range.

    11. Connect the anchor part of the rear seat inner with center belt assembly LH with the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Note


      • Make sure that the arrow on the rear seat inner with center belt assembly LH floor anchor is facing towards the front of the vehicle.

      • Do not allow the anchor part of the rear seat inner with center belt assembly LH to overlap the protruding parts.

    12. Connect the rear seat inner with center belt assembly LH connector.

  11. INSTALL REAR SEAT CENTER HEADREST ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the rear seat center headrest assembly.

  12. INSTALL REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the 2 rear seat headrest assemblies.

  13. INSTALL BENCH TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY


    1. Place the bench type rear seat cushion assembly in the cabin.

    2. w/ Seat Heater System:

      Connect the 2 rear seat cushion heater connectors.

    3. Attach the 2 rear hooks of the bench type rear seat cushion assembly to the beach type rear seatback assembly.

    4. Attach the 2 front hooks to install the bench type rear seat cushion assembly.

      Note

      When installing the seat cushion, make sure the seat belt buckle is not under the seat cushion.

  14. CONNECT CABLE TO AUXILIARY BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  15. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT

  16. INSPECT REAR SEAT HEATER SYSTEM (w/ Seat Heater System)

  17. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER LH


    1. Install the luggage compartment trim cover.

  18. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT


    1. Install the luggage compartment floor mat.
