REAR SEATBACK HEATER REMOVAL

Tech Tips

The rear seatback heater cannot be removed as it is connected to the bench type rear seatback cover as a unit.


  1. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE REAR SEAT CENTER ARMREST ASSEMBLY


    1. for Luxury Seat Type:


      1. A01FSL3

        w/o Seat Heater System:

        Disconnect the connector and detach the clamp of the rear console box wire.

      2. A01FS6H

        w/ Seat Heater System:

        Disconnect the connector, detach the clamp of the rear console box wire and detach the 3 clamps of the rear seat wire RH.

      3. A01FQ6R

        Position the rear console box wire as shown in the illustration.

    2. A01FUEA

      Remove the 2 nuts.

    3. Move the rear seat center armrest assembly in the direction of the arrow to detach the 2 hooks and remove the rear seat center armrest assembly.

  3. REMOVE REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT GUIDE RH


    1. A01FTVA

      Remove the 3 screws and rear seat shoulder belt guide RH.

  4. REMOVE REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT GUIDE LH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the RH side.

  5. REMOVE REAR SEAT CENTER SHOULDER BELT GUIDE

      Remove the 2 screws and rear seat center shoulder belt guide.

  6. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT

      Remove the hog rings.

    2. A01FQC8

      Detach the 12 claws and remove the 6 rear seat headrest supports.

  7. REMOVE SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the other seat heater control sub-assembly.

      Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and separate the seat heater control sub-assembly.

    2. A01FV3U

      Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and disconnect the rear seatback heater connector to remove the seat heater control sub-assembly.

  8. REMOVE BENCH TYPE REAR SEATBACK COVER


    1. A01FUNU

      Disconnect the 2 rear seatback heater connectors.

    2. Pass the rear seat wire RH under the rubber bands of the bench type rear seatback cover.

    3. Detach the clamp of the rear seat wire RH.

    4. Remove the hog rings.

    5. Pass the bench type rear seatback cover through the holes in the bench type rear seatback pad.

    6. Pass the bench type rear seatback pad through the holes in the bench type rear seatback cover.

      Pass the rear seatback heater wire harnesses through the holes in the bench type rear seatback cover.

    8. Remove the rear seat airbag assembly LH Click here.

    9. Remove the rear seat airbag assembly RH.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

      Pass the brackets of the bench type rear seatback cover through the holes in the bench type rear seatback pad.

    11. Remove the hog rings and bench type rear seatback cover from the bench type rear seatback pad.
