SEAT HEATER SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK


  1. CHECK SEAT HEATER OPERATION (for driver and passenger seats) [- 2012/8]


    1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    2. When the seat heater switch of the refreshing seat switch is turned ON, check that the indicator light illuminates and that the seat surface warms up in approximately 5 minutes.

    3. Check that the seat heater switch of the refreshing seat switch changes each time it is pushed as follows: HI → MID → LO → OFF.

    4. Check that the timer operates when the seat heater switch of the refreshing seat switch is turned ON. Check that the timer is set depending on the ambient temperature and changes from HI to MID to LO and then to OFF.

      Note

      This inspection is possible only when the seat heater eco-linked function is set to ON through the customize function using the GTS (the default setting is ON).

      2. If the power switch is turned off while the seat heater is operating, the seat heater operation starting status depends on the time that elapses until the power switch is turned on (IG).


        • If less than approximately 15 minutes elapse, the seat heater operation status when the power switch was off is maintained.

        • If 15 minutes or more elapse, the seat heater operation starts in HI operation mode.

    2. When the seat heater switch of the rear control switch is turned ON, check that the indicator light illuminates and that the seat surface warms up in approximately 5 minutes.

    3. Check that the seat heater switch of the rear control switch changes each time it is pushed as follows: HI → MID → LO → OFF.

    1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    2. When the seat heater switch of the rear control switch is turned ON, check that the indicator light illuminates and that the seat surface warms up in approximately 5 minutes.

    3. Check that the seat heater switch of the rear control switch changes each time it is pushed as follows: HI → MID → LO → OFF.

    4. When the seat heater switch of the rear control switch is turned ON (HI, MID or LO), check that the timer operates. (The control is the same for the driver and passenger seats.)
