FRAME WIRE REMOVAL


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT


    1. Remove the luggage compartment floor mat.

  3. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER LH


    1. Remove the luggage compartment trim cover LH.

  4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM AUXILIARY BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

    Tech Tips

    Both cables should be disconnected to prevent the AMD terminal from shorting to ground.

  5. REMOVE SERVICE PLUG GRIP

  6. REMOVE ENGINE ASSEMBLY WITH TRANSMISSION

  7. REMOVE FUEL TANK ASSEMBLY


  8. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY

  9. REMOVE WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET A

      Remove the 2 nuts and wire harness clamp bracket A.

  10. REMOVE NO. 4 FRONT FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR

      Remove the 2 bolts and No. 4 heat insulator.

  11. REMOVE NO. 13 WIRE HARNESS PROTECTOR


    1. A01FSEG

      Detach the 2 clamps and remove the No. 13 wire harness protector.

  12. REMOVE NO. 14 WIRE HARNESS PROTECTOR

      Detach the clamp and remove the nut with the No. 14 wire harness protector.

  13. REMOVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

      Remove the terminal cover and nut.

    2. Remove the grommet and push the No. 4 floor wire out from the floor panel.

  14. REMOVE NO. 4 HYBRID VEHICLE BATTERY SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY

    CAUTION:

    Wear insulated gloves.

      Remove the 2 clips and No. 1 hybrid battery intake duct LH.

      Using the service plug grip, remove the battery cover lock striker.

      Tech Tips

      Insert the projection part of the service plug grip, and turn the button of the battery cover lock striker counterclockwise, to release the lock.

    3. Using an insulated tool, remove the 4 nuts and No. 4 hybrid vehicle battery shield.

  15. REMOVE NO. 4 FLOOR WIRE

    CAUTION:

    Wear insulated gloves.

      Remove the battery shield contact.

      Using an insulated tool, remove the 2 nuts and disconnect the No. 4 floor wire.

      Note

      Insulate the removed terminals with insulating tape.

      Disconnect the connector and detach the 2 wire harness clamps.

    4. Remove the bolt and connector cover.

      Tech Tips


      • Make sure to pull the connector cover assembly straight up, as a connector is connected to the bottom of the cover.

      • Do not allow any foreign objects or water to enter the inverter with converter.

      Disconnect the air conditioner harness.

      Note


      • Do not damage the terminals, connector housings or inverter with converter when disconnecting them.

      • Do not touch the connector waterproofing rubber or terminals.

      • Insulate the removed terminals with insulating tape.

      • Do not allow any foreign objects or water to enter the inverter with converter.

      Using an insulated tool, remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 4 floor wire.

      Note


      • Do not damage the terminals, connector housings or inverter with converter when disconnecting them.

      • Do not touch the connector waterproofing rubber or terminals.

      • Insulate the removed terminals with insulating tape.

      • Do not allow any foreign objects or water to enter the inverter with converter.

    7. Temporarily install the connector cover with the bolt to prevent any foreign objects or water from entering the inverter with converter.

    8. for LHD:

        Remove the 4 nuts and detach the 2 wire harness clamps.

      2. A01FUHH

        Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and detach the wire harness clamp.

      3. Disconnect the connector.

      4. A01FUMX

        Detach the 4 wire harness clamps.

      5. Remove the nut and detach the 2 claws.

    9. for RHD:


      1. A01FR52

        Remove the bolt and detach the 2 wire harness clamps.

      2. Remove the nut and detach the 2 claws.

      3. Disconnect the connector.

      Remove the 2 bolts and detach the clamp.

    11. A01FR9N

      Remove the bolt and detach the 2 clamps.

    12. A01FQBL

      Remove the bolt.

    13. A01FU1M

      Detach the 2 wire harness clamps.

    14. A01FQ2R

      Detach the 3 claws, clamp and push the frame wire out from the floor panel.

    15. for LHD:

      Disconnect the 5 stud clamps and remove the No. 4 floor wire.

      Tech Tips

      When removing the stud clamp, break the claw on the stud clamp. The stud clamp cannot be reused.

      Disconnect the 4 stud clamps and remove the No. 4 floor wire.

  16. REMOVE WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET B (for LHD)

      Remove the 2 bolts with wire harness clamp bracket B.
