HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:P3107-213

DESCRIPTION

• The power management control ECU detects a problem in the collision signal line from the center airbag sensor assembly and alerts the driver.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (SRS AIRBAG)

   
   

   1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

   3. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / SRS Airbag / Trouble Codes.

   4. Check if DTCs are output.

      Result
      Result Proceed to Airbag system DTCs are not output. A Airbag system DTCs are output. B

   5. Turn the power switch off.

2. CHECK CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY (CHECK WAVEFORM)

   
   

   1. Connect an oscilloscope between the center airbag sensor assembly terminals specified in the table below.

   2. Turn the power switch on (READY).

   3.

      Measure the waveform.

      Item	Contents
      Terminal	N52-14 (GSW2) - N52-25 (E1)
      Equipment Setting	5 V/DIV., 500 ms/DIV.
      Condition	Power switch on (READY)

      Result
      Result Proceed to The waveform appears as shown in the illustration. A The waveform differs from the one shown in the illustration. B

   4. Turn the power switch off.

3. CLEAR DTC

   
   

   1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

   3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.

   4. Read and record the DTCs and freeze frame data.

   5. Clear DTCs and freeze frame data.

   6. Turn the power switch off.

   
   

   NEXT

4. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL)

   
   

   1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

   3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.

   4. Check if DTCs are output.

      Result
      Result Proceed to P3107-213 is not output. A P3107-213 is output. B

   5. Turn the power switch off.

6. CHECK CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Disconnect the connector from the center airbag sensor assembly.

   2. 

      Text in Illustration

      *a	Component without harness connected (Center Airbag Sensor Assembly)

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition N52-14 (GSW2) - N52-25 (E1) Power switch off 10 kΩ or higher

   3. Connect the center airbag sensor assembly connector.

   
   

   NG

   REPLACE CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY Click here

   OK

7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU - CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY)

   
   

   1. Disconnect the connector from the power management control ECU.

   2. Disconnect the connector from the center airbag sensor assembly.

   3.

      *a	Rear view of wire harness connector (to Power Management Control ECU)
      *b	Rear view of wire harness connector (to Center Airbag Sensor Assembly)

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition N92-13 (ABFS) or N52-14 (GSW2) - Body ground and other terminals Power switch off 10 kΩ or higher

   4. Connect the center airbag sensor assembly connector.

   5. Connect the power management control ECU connector.
