DESCRIPTION
If the power management control ECU receives a kick down switch signal, the power that can be output increases to enable more powerful driving. If there is an open in the kick down switch circuit or the power management control ECU erroneously recognizes the switch signal, power output is limited to the same level as for when the kick down switch is off.

READ VALUE USING GTS (KICK DOWN SWITCH STATUS)
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the power switch on (IG).
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List / Kick Down Switch Status.
Read the value displayed on the GTS.

Disconnect the A3 kick down switch assembly connector.
Turn the power switch on (IG).
