INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Tech Tips

After the repair, clear the DTCs and perform the following procedure to check that DTCs are not output.


  1. Turn the power switch on (IG) and wait for 70 seconds or more.

PROCEDURE


  1. CLEAR DTC


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.

    4. Read and record the DTCs and freeze frame data.

    5. Clear the DTCs and freeze frame data.

    6. Turn the power switch off.

  2. SIMULATION TEST


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG) and wait for 1 minute or more.

      Note

      Do not turn the power switch off until the simulation test in the next step is performed.

    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.

    4. Check for DTCs.

  3. SIMULATION TEST

    Note

    Do not turn the power switch off until this inspection is finished.


    1. With the vehicle stopped and the shift lever in P, turn the power switch on (READY), and then wait for 1 minute or more (if the engine starts, wait until the engine stops).

    2. While depressing the brake pedal, move the shift lever to D and wait for 1 minute. (Step A)

    3. Advance the vehicle forward 50 cm and perform step A again.

    4. Advance the vehicle forward another 50 cm and perform step A again. Repeat this a total of 5 times (the vehicle should advance a total of 2 m).

    5. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.

    6. Check for DTCs.

    7. Turn the power switch off.
