REMOVE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY

REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION CROSSMEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 2GR-FXE)

Remove the 2 bolts, and then disconnect the front suspension crossmember sub-assembly from the engine.
REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION CROSSMEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 2AR-FSE)

Remove the 2 bolts and front suspension crossmember sub-assembly from the engine assembly.
REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH
Remove the 2 nuts and the front stabilizer link assembly LH.
Tech Tips
If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a 6 mm hexagon wrench to hold the stud.
REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH
Tech Tips
Remove the RH side following the same procedures as with the LH side.
REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER BAR
Remove the front stabilizer bar.
REMOVE POWER STEERING LINK ASSEMBLY
Disconnect the 2 wire harness clamps and 3 connectors, and then disconnect wire harness from the steering link assembly.
Tech Tips
Pull up the lock and release the lock lever to disconnect the connector which uses a lock.
Remove the 2 bolts, No. 1 steering rack housing bracket and 2 nuts, and then remove the power steering link assembly from the suspension crossmember.

Support the front suspension crossmember with a transmission jack.
Note
Be sure to place a wooden block between the front suspension crossmember and transmission jack.
Remove the 2 bolts from the front lower ball joint.
Loosen the installation nut of the lower arm No. 2 bracket sub-assembly.
Note
Do not remove the nut.
Remove the bolt, washer and nut on the front of the front suspension lower arm.
Remove the 4 bolts, side rail plate and front suspension lower arm with the lower arm No. 2 bracket sub-assembly.
