SHIFT LEVER POSITION SENSOR REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE

      Remove the 4 bolts, and then turn the clip and remove the front suspension member brace.

      Tech Tips

      Do not remove the clip from the front suspension member brace.

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER


    1. A01FRKR

      Remove the 4 screws, 2 grommets and No. 2 engine under cover.

  3. REMOVE INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE PROPELLER WITH CENTER BEARING SHAFT ASSEMBLY

  5. DISCONNECT FLOOR SHIFT GEAR SHIFTING ROD SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the nut and disconnect the floor shift gear shifting rod sub-assembly.

  6. SUPPORT HYBRID VEHICLE TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY


    1. A01FRK3

      Support the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly with a transmission jack.

  7. SEPARATE REAR ENGINE MOUNTING MEMBER


    1. A01FSTK

      Remove the 4 bolts, and separate the rear engine mounting member from the body.

  8. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER POSITION SENSOR

      Tilt down the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly..

    2. Disconnect the shift lever position sensor connector.

      Remove the nut and transmission control shaft lever.

    4. A01FVBK

      Using a screwdriver, pry out the lock washer.

    5. A01FSVY

      Remove the lock nut and lock washer.

      Remove the 2 bolts and shift lever position sensor.

      Tech Tips

      Make sure that the manual valve lever shaft has not been rotated prior to removing the park/neutral position switch as the detent spring may become detached from the manual valve lever shaft.
