REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT
1. Remove the luggage compartment floor mat.
REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER LH
1. Remove the luggage compartment trim cover LH.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM AUXILIARY BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL

Note

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.
REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST PIPE SUPPORT BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.
2. Remove the 2 bolts and No. 1 exhaust pipe support bracket.
DRAIN TRANSMISSION FLUID
1. Remove the drain plug and gasket, and drain the ATF.
2. Install a new gasket and the drain plug.
  
  Torque:
  
  20 N*m { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }
DISCONNECT OIL PUMP MOTOR CONTROLLER CONNECTOR

REMOVE WIRING HARNESS PROTECTOR

Separate the clamp and turn the protector upward to remove it from the vehicle.

Note

Do not apply excessive force when turning the wiring harness protector.

DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS
1. Disconnect the 9 wire harness clamps and 2 connectors from the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.
2. Remove the wire harness bracket from the wire harness.
REMOVE OIL COOLER UNION SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Disconnect the 2 oil cooler hoses.
  
  Tech Tips
  
  Cover each disconnected oil cooler hose with a plastic bag or tape to prevent fluid from dripping.
2. Remove the 2 union bolts, bolt, 4 gaskets and oil cooler union sub-assembly.
REMOVE OIL WITH MOTOR PUMP ASSEMBLY
1. Disconnect the transmission breather hose from the oil with motor pump assembly.
2. Remove the 4 bolts, oil with motor pump assembly and gasket from the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.
