DESCRIPTION

For vehicles with full-speed following function:

When the driving support ECU receives parking brake operation signals from the parking brake ECU assembly via the CAN communication line, the vehicle following function is canceled.

DTC Code DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
C1A51 With power switch ON (IG), when driving support ECU receives electric parking brake system malfunction signal from parking brake ECU assembly for 2 seconds.

  • Electric parking brake system

  • Parking brake ECU assembly

  • Driving support ECU

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

When replacing the driving support ECU, always replace it with a new one and be sure to perform initialization Click here. If an ECU which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the ECU will not match the information from the vehicle, and as a result, a DTC may be stored.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK FOR DTC (ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SYSTEM)


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Check for DTCs Click here.

    3. Recheck for DTCs Click here.

      OK
      Electric parking brake system DTC is not output.

    NG

    GO TO ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SYSTEM Click here

    OK

  2. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Check for DTCs Click here.

    3. Recheck for DTCs Click here.

      OK
      DTC C1A51 is not output.

    NG

    REPLACE DRIVING SUPPORT ECU Click here
