CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM Cruise Control Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

This circuit sends a signal to the power management control ECU depending on the cruise control main switch condition. The battery supplies positive (+) battery voltage to the circuit control switch. Then terminal CCS of the power management control ECU receives the voltage according to the switch condition.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH)


    1. Check the Data List for proper functioning of the cruise control main switch Click here.

      ON: Cruise control switch is on

      ON: +/RES switch is on

      OFF: +/RES switch is off

      OK
      When cruise control main switch operation is performed, the results are the same as above.

    1. Remove the spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly Click here.

  4. INSPECT CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH WIRE

    1. Disconnect the spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the cruise control main switch connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      z8-3 - A-3 Always Below 1 Ω
      z8-4 - A-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      A-3 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPLACE CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH WIRE

    OK

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SPIRAL WITH SENSOR CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY - POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the N31 spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the N92 power management control ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N31-1 (CCS) - N92-23 (CCS) Always Below 1 Ω
      N31-2 (ECC) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      N31-1 (CCS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
