FUEL PUMP (for High Pressure) REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD

  2. REMOVE NO. 3 WATER BY-PASS PIPE


    1. Remove the 2 water hose sets.

      Disconnect the 2 heater water hoses.

    3. Detach the 2 wire harness clamps from the No. 3 water by-pass pipe.

    4. Remove the bolt.

    5. Disconnect the 2 water by-pass hoses and remove the No. 3 water by-pass pipe.

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 FUEL PIPE

    1. Disconnect the No. 2 fuel tube sub-assembly from the No. 1 fuel pipe Click here.

    2. Loosen the union bolt and remove the No. 1 fuel pipe and 2 gaskets.

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Loosen the 2 union nuts of the No. 1 fuel pipe sub-assembly.

    2. Loosen the 2 bolts of the fuel pump assembly.

    3. Remove the No. 1 fuel pipe sub-assembly.

  5. REMOVE FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the connector from the fuel pump assembly.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and fuel pump assembly.

    3. Remove the fuel pump, fuel pump lifter assembly and fuel pump insulator from the fuel pump lifter guide.

    4. Remove the O-ring from the fuel pump.

    5. Remove the fuel pump spacer gasket from the head cover.

    6. Remove the 2 O-rings from the pump housing.
